Systems thinking - how wolves change rivers

I learned about systems thinking in my 2nd year (i.e. Learning).  This video is a comparison to Senge's learning organization, specifically, systems thinking.  I love the parallel, I will forever think about System's Thinking in this way.  Just think of the small changes in your organization that will impact the growth of your organization.

Why I stand

9/25/2017

The past weekend was very disappointing.  I watched my Iowa Hawkeyes lose on the last play of the game on Saturday to Penn State and then attended the game Sunday in Soldiers Field to only see my Pittsburgh Steelers lose in overtime.

But I realize that no matter what the score, I do live in the greatest country in the world.  I have served this great country for the majority of my adult life, whether in the U.S. Navy, or more recently, for a small Federal Agency in Chicago.

Why I Stand!
I stand for the less fortunate!
I stand for all the brave volunteers in the military!
I stand for all the first responders!
I stand for my family!
I stand for the rights of all mankind!
But most importantly, I stand for "We the People"!  Not "We the Democrats, or "We the Republicans", and definitely not "I, the President".

This past weekend, NFL players, in a support of solidarity, chose to express their rights as citizens.  I stand for them as well!

Steve Kerr made a statement that perfectly expresses my thoughts.

Staying Mindful

During Research class, Dr. Jonas shared a slide about the need to be mindful, specifically, staying in the moment! I recall an A.L.F. I studied in Summer Institute (Innovation) that is a great example for staying in the moment. More information can be found at www.headspace.com.
